US State Department wasted money???? Nooooo!

Who is DynCorp?
The reason I ask is this morning a story on FoxNews.com spoke of a audit of the $2.5 Billion contract with Dyncorp, and the findings were wait for it..... The US had no oversight, and there were some really expensive invoices for basic stuff.
First I wanted to know who is Dyn Corp so I went to their website, and under the tab who are we, this was the very first paragraph.

"DynCorp International is a global government services provider, offering innovative solutions and relentless performance in support of U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives. We operate major programs in law enforcement training and support, security services, base operations, aviation, contingency operations and logistics support. DynCorp International provides global platform support in aviation and land systems, and integrated solutions supporting international stability and development."

So I know I'm not a journalist, I'm just a blogger, but the 5th word is not a bad word, unless you combine it with the 6th 7th and 8th words. Let's put them together in Bold letters, and see how scary it becomes, global government services provider. I might not sleep tonight after reading that.

Anyway, what I found interesting about this story is, that we all know that the government pays way too much money for everything they do, unless it is to pay people here in America.
First example of severe incompetence is when they leased 2 generators for power to a base, for a whopping $450,000 in 3 years. They could have purchased these for $78,000. Next was the contractor lodging for $12,000-$20,000 a month
not a year, a month. Where were they staying in Iraq for that price??????

How about a $4.5 Million price tag for a 16 person security detail for 6 contractors, who already had a security detail?

In the onset of this contract 1 person signed off on $1 Billion in receipts, and did not question them...... at all!

Remember my blog from yesterday? Lets audit the DOD, do you know why they won't audit the DOD? The reason they will not audit the Defense Department is because it is in the best interest of National Security.

When in doubt whip it out... National security! Can you tell us where you spent $200,000,000? I'd rather not in the best interest of National Security.

Why was there a security detail for people that already had security? In the best interest of National Security I'd rather not say.

It is not in the best interest of National Security for our government to waste money!
It is not in the best interest of National security for our government to keep secret what is in some of these "Contracts" that they award.
It is in the best interest of the United States taxpayers, to know that someone is in charge, and responsibly handling the reviews of invoices totaling $1 Billion tax payer dollars.

I do not care who reads this blog, I do not care who thinks I am nuts, I do care however about our country being mismanaged, and bankrupted from Administration to administration. The last time I checked the poorest countries are the ones where there is also the most violence, and terror! If we keep spending on the pace we are, we will soon be poor enough, to have violence breeding among us.

Stop the corruption, and end the endless wars. Help our economy rebound, by locking the vault, and ending the spending.

See you tomorrow
Norm
